Chief Red Cloud

"I am poor and naked, but I am the Chief of the Nation.
We do not want riches, but we do want to train our children right.
Riches would do us no good, we could not take them with us to the other world.
We do not want riches, we want peace and love."

.

Chief Red Cloud (Makhpiya Luta) 1822 - 1909, was a great Sioux warrior with the Oglala tribe. He was a good man who fought for the rights and freedom of the Indian Nation.

In 1865, he did everything in his power, to discourage the intrusion of white people along the Bozeman trail. However, peaceful bargaining from the Indians fell on deaf ears, and the whites continued to take the land, often to their detriment.

In 1866, Red Cloud led the massacre of 80 troops at Fort Kearney, one of the posts built to protect the trail. This event led to the abandonment of the trail by the white people in 1868.

After the Wounded Knee massacre, Chief Red Cloud eventually agreed to sign a peace treaty with the Government in Washington, DC, and settle down on the reservation at Pine Ridge, South Dakota. However, there were those of the Indian Nation who disagreed with Red Clouds decision to live in peace, and continued fighting, to no avail.

Red Cloud did what he thought was right for his people. However, he was lied to, and totally misunderstood the conditions that the Nation would have to suffer. His people were offered barren lands and a complete change to their eduction system. One of the biggest crimes was losing their children to white schools, where they were often ill treated.

Chief Red Cloud lived peacefully on the Pine Ridge Reservation until his passing to the Great Spirit in 1909. His memory lives on in the hearts of many.

The Worlds biggest injustice has been made, to the Worlds most Spiritual, Indigenes people, and has never been resolved. There are still many living in Government tents and huts, freezing cold and starving. They suffer a cruel fate because of their race. However, at this time, many Indians are returning to their homelands, leaving the American way of being. They are returning to the old ways of their people, they are awakening.

It is time now, for the United States Government and President Barak Obama, to review the plight of this special race of people. We are all equal in Gods name, and the land belongs to God, it is not ours to sell or take.

Chief Red Cloud came to me as a Guide about 6 years ago, offering many encouraging messages of strength, that enabled me to remain focused on my journey. Some of his first words came as a huge comfort to me. After getting through a particularly difficult time, he said;

"One day I spoke to a little girl, and the next day she was a woman.
I am so proud of you my Daughter, I trust your decisions and strength.
It is time for you to evolve Spiritually and Earthly.
One day I lost my Daughter, and now she is found."

I asked Black Hawk why Red Cloud often referred to me as 'daughter', and he explained that I had been Chief Red Clouds daughter in that lifetime. My name was 'Humming Bird' . However, I was not on the earth plain very long, I passed to Spirit at 3years old. Many say, this was the time when Red Cloud changed.

Red Cloud channels through me, as Black Hawk, preparing for the changes ahead for mankind. There are many important messages from them both, and many others in our book, Whispers on the Winds', that will be in print very soon.
